The COGWC was blessed with the wonderful talent of the Stevens Family Tradition bluegrass band this past Sunday evening.  Their hit song "The Call" has reached #5 on the Singing News Bluegrass Gospel Radio charts.  Their song is expected to go to #1 by early Spring.  Thank God for wonderfully gifted people who are responding to God's call!  BTW, this one was written by Donnie Stevens.

Jacob Rogers and others received perfect attendance certificates, as well.

Michael, Saylor Rose, Brandy, Reed, and Emery Kate Davidson.  Congratulations!

And then there were three...Congratulations to Michael and Brandy Davidson on the birth of baby #3.  Reed Michael Davidson was born Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 8 lbs. 1 oz.  He attended his first wedding ceremony on Saturday, June 17, and then came to Sunday School and church on June 18.  Now, that's a great example of how you get your children to attend church on a regular basis!

The Love of Christ Constraineth Us - Pastor Joey Burns - 01.08.2017

2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (KJV)
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

"God is bigger than your need today!"

A New Attitude For The New Year - Bro. Will Rogers - 01.04.2017

Matthew 5:1-10 (KJV)
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
